We want to encourage non-binary and female students to share their stories about their experiences in STEM. Experiences can be positive or negative, what's important is having our voice heard. Any challenges, successes, helping others, we welcome all stories and give prizes to winners!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I really loved how you stood up for yourself, and your resolution to continue to do so, though it's preferable if non-male STEM students didn't have so much resistance against progress.
My experience as a women in STEM has been quite eventful. On the positive side, it's so much fun meeting other girls at Mathcounts events, and sharing our passions. Some of them boys do be looking fine too. I love math, and am proud to represent women in STEM. I have been doing math competitively for 1.5 years and it's amazing.
On the other hand, my parents don't think math is for me because I am a girl. Many boys get mad when I beat them, simply because I am a girl. One even called me a "dirty whore" after I beat him by just one point in Mathcounts chapter. However, by continuing to stand strong, I send a message to some sexist men who think women can't partake in math competitions.
I live in Texas, where there are lots of math people, and as a result, lots of math men, and as a result, lots of sexist men. I've had to go through a lot in my journey in math, but I never let any of it put me down.
So far I have made Honor Roll on the 2022 AMC 8 and I made State in mathcounts. My goals next year include: making AIME, making making USAJMO, and making the Texas HMMT Nov Team. I plan to one day make Pink MOP and possibly EGMO.
My favorite subject in math is GEOMETRY. After studying Evan Chen's EGMO, I cannot believe how addicted I am to geo. One of my favorite geometry problems is 2014 USAMO/5.
On that note, some of my other favorite problems include 2006 USAMO/6, 2004 USAMO/6, and 2020 IMO/3. Geo best.
Despite the resistance, I continue to stand proudly as a women in STEM, having fun and doing math.
