Dear Colleagues: I would like to bring to your attention a hybrid event honoring the 110th Birth Anniversary of Professor Chien-Shiung Wu （吴健雄）, the first female professor in the Department of Physics at Columbia University, the first female president of American Physics Society, and one of the most prominent physicists of the modern time. Attached is the program announcement and the agenda. EVP Dr. Jeannette Wing will deliver remarks on behalf of Columbia University. The event is tomorrow (9/24) 9 am – noon. The zoom link is in the attached announcement. Hope you can join!

To be eligible to apply for Math Prize 2022, students must meet all of the following criteria: Be in 11th grade or below as of February 2022 (and not be slated to graduate from high school or to start full-time college before the contest). Be female in gender identity. Live in the United States or Canada. If you don't live in the US or Canada, but are a US citizen or permanent resident, then you may apply, but contact us first to find out what documentation we require. In November 2021, have taken an official administration of the AMC 10 or AMC 12 exam for the 2021-2022 Competition Cycle. Not be an immediate family member of an Advantage Testing employee. Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, MIT may require attestation of vaccination at the time of contest participation.

TechGirlz’ mission is to inspire middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers. Our vision is to create a world where girls have a lifelong passion and confidence in their use of technology throughout their careers. We’re accomplishing that mission through the creation of free, fun, interactive TechShopz led by industry professionals, leaders and students.
